The footage of Ana Bozicevic's little movie is from my old neighborhood in Lincoln Park, on Altgeld Street I think.
Jason Bredle was filmed at the Lincoln Park Zoo in the summer of 2007, shortly after I moved to Chicago.
The camera would start shaking as I couldn't stop myself from laughing, and I had to have Jason do several takes
of the first poem.
Nicole Burgund was filmed December 2007 in the cemetery in Seattle that refused Kurt Cobain's corpse. I borrowed
my dad's truck and drove down to meet her, and the light was all but fading, so I left the truck's headlights on her as she read.
J.W. Marshall was also filmed in Seattle, in his bookstore on 45th street in Wallingford. That was also December of 2007.
Both Robyn Schiff (August 22) and Christian Hawkey (December 12) were filmed at Danny's in Bucktown, Chicago in 2007.
I shut off the camera during Robyn's to flick the moth off of her. That's Zach Schomburg and Jason Bredle up front in Christian's.
Julia "The Wrath" Cohen and Mathias "Babysnakes" Svalina were in Chicago for a couple days at the end of December 2007.
Lily helped with sound and Bella decided to roam through too. That was filmed at the Altgeld apartment, in Lincoln Park.
Kristi Maxwell, Dana Ward, and Joyelle McSweeney were all filmed in Dana's back yard in October 2007 in Cincinnati, OH.
NEG helped with sound for Dana's film. And Dana helped with the audio for the rest of them. That was a fun night.
I wished we lived next door to Dana Ward.
